Joe the Art of Coffee

店名Joe還蠻普通的,所以它網站都特別加一句slogan: the Art of Coffee。

The difference between brewed coffee and drip coffee is the difference between "sports" and "baseball". Virtually all hot coffee is brewed in some form or fashion, but drip coffee is brewed using a specific method, i.e. a drip coffeemaker with a filter and hot water.

More Details:

There are several different methods to create brewed coffee, including a percolator, drip coffeemaker, French press or simply a coffee pot suspended over a campfire. These would all be considered "brewed" coffees, but the individual methods yield different strengths and flavors.

Drip coffee, on the other hand, is a specific brewing method which relies on near-boiling water passing through freshly ground coffee beans suspended in a filter. The dripping action is caused by the water and coffee oils passing through a small opening and into a waiting coffeepot. The essential oils are drawn off the ground coffee beans and into the water, while the filter traps the solids and heavier oils.

Because the drip method is practically synonymous with coffee preparation in the United States, many coffee drinkers use the terms "brewed" and "drip" interchangeably, but there is a difference between the general brewing of coffee beans and the specific use of a drip coffeemaker as opposed to a French press or percolator.
